Terms of Use

The terms that govern your use of this website. Read them before relying on anything you find here — they are short, and they matter.

Effective date: 2 July 2026

1. About these terms

These Terms of Use govern your access to and use of the website at stratus.limited (the "Site"), operated by Stratus Limited, a company incorporated in Hong Kong with registered office at Unit 1603, 16th Floor, The L. Plaza, 367–375 Queen's Road Central, Sheung Wan, Hong Kong (Company ID 76091966, LEI 98450093EKF0E6D49812). By using the Site, you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, do not use the Site.

Access to the Stratus Suite and the client portal is governed by separate agreements between Stratus Limited and each client firm; these terms do not apply to those systems.

2. Informational purposes only

The Site exists to describe Stratus Limited, its engineering services and its software products. Nothing on the Site constitutes, or should be construed as:

  • an offer, solicitation or recommendation to buy or sell any security, financial instrument or investment product;
  • investment, legal, tax or accounting advice;
  • the provision of any regulated financial service.

Stratus Limited is a technology and research firm. It does not manage client assets, does not provide investment advice to the public and does not offer financial services through this Site.

3. No reliance

Content on the Site is provided for general information. Figures describing our business are stated as at publication and may change without notice. Any references to strategies, systems or performance describe engineering work delivered to clients — they are not indicative of future results and must not be relied upon in making any investment or business decision. You should obtain professional advice appropriate to your circumstances before acting on anything you read here.

4. Intellectual property

The Site and its contents — including text, design, graphics, logos, code and the Stratus name and marks — are the property of Stratus Limited or its licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. You may view and print pages for your own internal, non-commercial reference. You may not otherwise reproduce, modify, distribute or create derivative works from any part of the Site without our prior written consent. Third-party names and marks referenced on the Site belong to their respective owners.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the Site — including attempting to gain unauthorised access to it or related systems, probing or scanning for vulnerabilities without authorisation, scraping content at scale, introducing malicious code or using the Site in any way that violates applicable law.

6. Third-party links

The Site links to external websites, including those of our partner firms. Those sites are outside our control and are governed by their own terms and policies. Links are provided for convenience and do not imply endorsement; we accept no responsibility for their content or practices.

7. Disclaimer of warranties

The Site is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of accuracy, completeness, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, error-free or free of harmful components.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Stratus Limited and its directors, officers and employees shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss or damage — including loss of profits, revenue, data or business opportunity — arising out of or in connection with your use of, or inability to use, the Site or its content, whether in contract, tort or otherwise. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.

9. Changes

We may revise these terms and the Site's content at any time. Revised terms take effect when posted on this page; the effective date above indicates the latest revision. Your continued use of the Site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

10. Governing law

These terms, and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them or your use of the Site, are governed by the laws of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region. You submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Hong Kong in respect of any such dispute or claim.
