Stratus custom software engineering — what we build (trading and execution infrastructure, CRM, operations and back-office platforms, client portals, integrations, internal tools), the engineering standards every system ships with, and how we operate systems in production after handover.

We build the platforms firms actually run on.

Not prototypes. Not proofs of concept. Trading infrastructure, CRMs, back-office platforms and the integrations between them — specified precisely, engineered to institutional standards, delivered on a date and operated long after go-live.

/ 01 — What we build

The systems a serious desk runs on.

Six categories of platform, one engineering standard. Everything below has shipped from this team — and everything below is still running.

01

Trading & execution infrastructure

Order routing, execution engines, broker connectivity and real-time risk limits — the layer between the strategy and the market, built for latency, reliability and control.

02

CRM & client management

Mandates, contracts, commissions and client reporting in one coherent record — built around how funds and wealth managers actually handle relationships, not a generic sales pipeline.

03

Operations & back-office platforms

Back-office software in the proper sense — invoicing, reconciliation, workflow and record-keeping systems that replace the spreadsheet patchwork holding the middle office together.

04

Client portals & reporting

Secure portals where your clients see positions, statements and documents — clear numbers, clean design and access controls your compliance team will sign off on.

05

Integrations

Brokers, banks, data vendors and e-sign providers, connected through monitored, versioned interfaces — so data moves between systems without a human re-keying it.

06

Internal tools

Admin panels, operations dashboards and automation for the work your clients never see — the unglamorous software that decides whether the day runs smoothly.

/ 02 — Engineering standards

Every system ships with the same guarantees.

These aren't options we upsell. They're the definition of done on every Stratus engagement, written into the scope before we start.

Secure by default. Auditable by design.

Software that handles capital and client data doesn't get to improvise. Security and auditability are specified in the architecture phase and verified before release — not retrofitted after an incident.

  • Security by default. Least-privilege access, encryption in transit and at rest, and hardened deployment baselines on every project.
  • Full audit trails. Every material action — who did what, and when — is recorded and exportable for compliance review.
  • Monitoring baked in. Observability, alerting and health checks are part of the specification, not an afterthought bolted on at go-live.

Tested, documented, owned.

Handover only works if the system can be understood, changed and trusted without the person who wrote it in the room. We engineer for that from the first commit.

  • Automated testing. Unit, integration and regression suites gate every release — nothing ships on a manual "looks fine".
  • Documentation. Architecture notes, runbooks and interface references are delivered with the system, so your team never depends on tribal knowledge.
  • A named owner. Every system has one accountable Stratus engineer — a person you can call, not a ticket queue.
/ 03 — From handover to operations

Go-live is the midpoint, not the finish line.

Most vendors disappear at handover. We stay: our systems have run in production, continuously, for 3+ years — monitored, patched and improved by the team that built them.

24/7 monitoringLive observability, alerting and on-call response on every system we operate.
Release managementVersioned, reviewed, reversible changes — improvements ship without drama.
Incident responseDefined severities, clear escalation and a written post-incident review, every time.
3+ years continuous operationThe systems we run have operated without interruption since inception.

The proof: we operate our own product.

The Stratus Suite — nine modules spanning CRM, invoicing, e-sign, documents, tasks, calendar, notes, mail and trading signals — is built, deployed and run in production by the same engineers you would engage. 150+ professionals across 6 partner firms depend on it every working day.

That changes how we build for you. We carry the pager for our own decisions, so we design systems we're prepared to operate — and we bring that operating discipline to every client platform we take live.
